Hazardous Area Handhelds

Hazardous Area Handhelds. Hazardous Area Handhelds help you compare equipment for equipment selected for controlled industrial environments. Start with the task, then choose the physical format and configuration that fits the way the device will be used.

What should you compare?

For this collection, compare the documented approval scheme, gas or dust group, temperature class and permitted operating area. Consider the work location, the equipment already in use and how the device will be carried, mounted or charged throughout the task.

Treat the approval and installation instructions for the exact model as the deciding evidence. The category name alone does not establish suitability for a hazardous location.
