OUKITEL WP500 Ultra Rugged Phones
OUKITEL WP500 Ultra rugged phones bring thermal imaging, 5G connectivity and a 10000mAh battery together in one Android 16 device. Designed for demanding work and outdoor use, the WP500 Ultra combines a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor with 12GB of physical RAM and 1TB of internal storage. OUKITEL WP500 Ultra thermal imaging and privacy control
Inspect heat patterns using the built-in thermal camera. Smart ClearTherm improves image detail, while SceneSync Fusion combines thermal information with the view from an 8MP fusion camera. These tools help users examine equipment, electrical installations and building surfaces. In addition, a dedicated privacy switch disables the cameras, microphone and GPS when they are not needed.
Performance, storage and display
The octa-core Dimensity 8300 uses a 4nm process and a Mali-G615 MP6 GPU. Consequently, the phone can handle mapping, documents, photography and multiple applications throughout the day. Its 12GB LPDDR5 memory can use up to 24GB of virtual RAM, giving a quoted combined maximum of 36GB. The 1TB UFS 4.0 storage provides room for project files and camera footage; the source specifications do not support memory-card expansion.
A 6.78-inch display offers 1080 × 2460 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and 550-nit rated brightness. Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protects the screen. Android 16 also supports OTA updates, while the listed Gemini AI and AI Beacon tools assist with writing, translation and document tasks.
Cameras for daylight and low light
Capture detailed photographs with the 108MP Samsung S5KHM6 main camera and record video at up to 4K at 30fps. For dark scenes, the separate 8MP night vision camera uses infrared illumination. Meanwhile, the 32MP Sony IMX616 front camera supports video calls and selfies. The thermal fusion camera serves a different purpose from the night vision camera.
Battery and outdoor equipment
The 10000mAh polymer battery supports 45W wired charging. Reverse charging can supply compatible external devices, and the integrated camping lamp provides local lighting. The device is rated IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H. For operating conditions, use the Specs rating of −20°C to 55°C; the wider temperature claim in the manufacturer’s promotional artwork is not the specified operating range.
Connectivity for field work
Dual nano-SIM slots support 5G and earlier mobile networks. Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and USB Type-C provide further connection options. GPS L1+L5, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo support navigation.
